Even though we are less than a week removed from the Fourth of July, the television community is already looking toward the fall. Not only will the industry kick off the next TV series in September, but everyone in Hollywood will have their eyes on the 78th Emmy Awards on Monday, Sept. 14. TV icon (and current Broadway star) Mariska Hargitay will host the event, which will air on NBC and stream on Peacock.

However, if you are a bit behind in your binge-watching, you’ve only got two months to catch up before the ceremony.

HBO Max, Netflix, Apple TV, and Hulu are once again among the most heavily represented streaming services across the major Emmy categories. HBO Max has a particularly strong year thanks to series like “The Pitt,” “Hacks,” “The Gilded Age,” and “DTF St. Louis,” while Apple TV continues to be a major Emmy player with “Slow Horses,” “Shrinking,” “Pluribus,” “Widow’s Bay,” and “Your Friends & Neighbors.”
Netflix is also well represented, especially in the limited series categories, where “The Beast in Me,” “Beef,” “Monster: The Ed Gein Story,” “Black Rabbit,” and “Remarkably Bright Creatures” all show up across the acting races. Hulu remains a major factor with “Paradise,” “Only Murders in the Building,” “The Bear,” and “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette,” while Peacock’s biggest contenders include “All Her Fault,” “The Traitors,” and “Top Chef.”
