About the 2025 NCAA Men’s Hockey Championship game
The Western Michigan Broncos were able to overcome the reigning champion Denver Pioneers by a score of 3-2 in a game that went to double overtime. This year marks the first time the Broncos have made it to the Frozen Four, and now they have a chance to play for the national championship.
The Terriers, meanwhile, took a 2-0 lead in their semifinal game against Penn State and never looked back. That win was the team’s 50th in NCAA Tournament play, and head coach Jay Pandolfo is 10-0 in NCAA regional games as a head coach and a player. Pandolfo is one of just three coaches to reach the Frozen Four in each of his first three seasons.
