Why we recommend watching the 2025 PGA Tour Players Championship on Hulu + Live TV
Hulu + Live TV is the ideal choice for watching all coverage of the PGA Tour Players Championship this year. It comes with a three-day free trial for all new customers, so you can see a good portion of the tournament at no cost with a Hulu + Live TV subscription. That is because in addition to carrying NBC and Golf Channel on its base plan, Hulu + Live TV also comes with the Disney Bundle at no extra charge.
So, with the $83 per month fee will also include the Hulu on-demand library, all of Disney+, and — most importantly for golf fans — ESPN+ for free. There is no better way to watch all of the Players Championship coverage than with Hulu + Live TV.
Hulu Live TV
Hulu Live TV is a live TV streaming service with more than 70 channels for $89.99 per month. Hulu + Live TV base plan includes local channels 32 of the top 35 cable channels, and regional sports networks (RSNs). Subscribers get free access to Disney+ and ESPN Select at no extra charge.
Can you watch the 2025 PGA Tour Players Championship for free?
The 2025 Players Championship runs from Thursday, March 13 through Sunday, March 16, so you’ll need a longer free trial to watch the entire tournament at no cost. DIRECTV STREAM comes with a five-day trial, but you’ll need the Sports add-on pack to get Golf Channel in addition to a base channel package.
Fubo’s free trial can last as long as seven days, but the length of your trial when you sign up depends on what time of month you sign up and other factors. YouTube TV’s trial can range from two days up to two weeks, also dependent on factors like what time of month you signed up for the streamer.
Of course, none of these streamers also provide access to ESPN+, so you would have to add that subscription on to catch roughly half of the tournament’s action. So, if you are focused on watching the tournament (or as much of it as possible) for free, then maybe wait until Friday to sign up for Hulu + Live TV’s trial and watch the rest of the tournament that way.
Which streamers will carry the 2025 PGA Tour Players Championship
As discussed, you can watch the PGA Tour Players Championship with free trial-offering services like DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV. Sling TV can also be used to stream the tournament in markets where it offers NBC, but you’ll need the Sports Extra add-on to get Golf Channel with this service.
DIRECTV via internet can also be used to watch the 2025 PGA Tour Players Championship, but you’ll need an extra channel add-on to watch Golf Channel. This streamer is as close to the old-fashioned cable bundle as you can get. While it does carry a ton of channels, it also coms with a two-year contract. So, if you are ready to make that kind of commitment, DIRECTV via Internet is a decent possibility.
ESPN+ carries a huge amount of coverage for the tournament, including 21 feeds on Thursday and Friday mornings, and 30 separate streams on Saturday and Sunday.
Peacock will also simulcast all of the tournament coverage airing on NBC, but nothing from the Golf Channel.
