“A Very Royal Scandal” is based on the true story of the earth-shattering 2019 interview between Emily Maitlis and Prince Andrew, called to account for his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre. As the prince struggles to argue his innocence, Maitlis knows it is her duty as a journalist to get to the bottom of the story by speaking to the royal himself.

The show will offer intricate details about the days and weeks leading up to the interview, including the Newsnight reporter’s willingness to go to any lengths to sit down with Prince Andrew in person and the fallout for both of them. “A Very Royal Scandal” stars Michael Sheen as Prince Andrew, Ruth Wilson as Emily Maitlis, Joanna Scanlan, Alex Jennings, and Eanna Hardwick.
