About ‘Beyond Black Beauty’
“Beyond Black Beauty” follows young equestrian Jolie Dumont. All she’s ever wanted was to ride horses in Olympic competition, but her dreams are seemingly dashed when her mother moves them from Belgium to her family’s urban ranch in Baltimore. Torn away from the life she knew, Jolie doubts if she’ll ever be able to pursue her dreams now.
An angry Jolie wants to hide in the shadows until she bonds with a spirited horse named Black Beauty. Jolie will learn to embrace her heritage while continuing toward her Olympic-hopeful future and discover the value of family and home as she builds a relationship with Black Beauty, and finds her new life may not be everything she feared.
