Rock out with the first trailer from the Springsteen biopic ‘Deliver Me from Nowhere’

Rock out with the first trailer from the Springsteen biopic ‘Deliver Me from Nowhere’

Jeremy Allen White stars in this Oscar-buzzing biopic about Bruce Springsteen

As a cord-cutter since 2010, he’s spent over 15 years covering tech and streaming for sites like TechRadar, Tom’s Guide, and CrackBerry. He also has a soft spot for '80s movies.

Jeremy Allen White is seemingly everywhere these days, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. With “The Bear” returning for Season 4 next week and his new Bruce Springsteen movie “Deliver Me from Nowhere” arriving this fall, the Emmy winner is already one of the most in-demand stars in Hollywood today. This week, The Boss biopic released its first trailer, and the internet has been eating it up.

Based on the book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska” by musician Warren Zanes, White is front and center as the iconic New Jersey rocker. Joining him in the film will be Marc Maron (“Stick”), Stephen Graham (“Adolescence”), and Gaby Hoffmann (I’ll give you a minute to figure out she played the young Karin Kinsella in “Field of Dreams”).

Set to release in theaters on Friday, Oct. 24, the drama explores the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album “Nebraska.” In what already looks to be an Oscar-worthy performance, White dives into Springsteen’s emotional and creative struggles during a pivotal moment in his career. “Deliver Me from Nowhere” gives an intimate look at the stripped-down recording process and the personal demons that shaped one of Springsteen’s most influential works. “Nebraska” featured the two hit singles “Atlantic City” and “Open All Night” and went as high as No. 3 on the domestic Billboard charts.

As “Deliver Me from Nowhere” is being distributed by 20th Century Studios, a Disney-owned company, it will eventually be available for streaming on Hulu — and in turn, likely Disney+ — likely sometime this fall. The last film that the studio distributed that has made it to streaming already was last August’s “Alien: Romulus.” After arriving in theaters on Aug. 16, 2024, it landed on Hulu on Nov. 21, 97 days later.

If the Springsteen flick follows the same timeline, that would make it available on Dec. 30, 2025. While there might be some Boss fans who would love to rock in the New Year with “Deliver Me from Nowhere,” if the movie does garner some awards consideration, Disney might hold the streaming release until after Oscar nominations are announced and the campaign season ramps up. So, while it is likely way too early to make any concrete predictions, we’ll guess that the film will arrive on Hulu sometime in late January or early February.
