After two years out of mixed martial arts chasing his dreams of being a boxer, Francis Ngannou returns to MMA to fight a champion on a four-fight winning streak. Brazilian Renan Ferreira is back in the ring after beating Bellator champion Ryan Bader in February by TKO in just 21 seconds.
Cambodian-born Ngannou beat Stipe Miocic in 2021 for the UFC Heavyweight belt and after a successful title defense was stripped of the belt when he couldn’t come to new contract terms with UFC. This set him off on a journey into boxing where he faced Tyson Fury, losing in a controversial split decision, and Anthony Joshua — losing by second-round knockout. Ngannou returns to the MMA arena with one of the most daunting bouts of his career.
In addition to the heavyweight title match, one of the best women’s fighters in history, Cris Cyborg, will defend her PFL women’s featherweight championship belt against Larissa Pacheco.
