About ‘G20’

“G20” throws Viola Davis into the kind of role you know she’s going to crush… playing the President of the United States caught in the middle of an international hostage crisis. When armed mercenaries storm a G20 summit in South Africa, she’s not just trying to survive — she’s got to lead. From what we can tell, it’s part political thriller, part action movie, with Davis front and center in the chaos. It’s directed by Patricia Riggen (“The 33”) and written by a team that includes Caitlin Parrish and Erica Weiss (who together created the CBS drama “The Red Line”) so it’s got some serious talent behind the camera, too. Based on the trailer, (“if you want to live you’ll follow my lead!”) the movie looks like a fun ride.
