About ‘KPOPPED’
Hosted by actor and comedian Soojeong Son, “KPOPPED” gives iconic Western artists a chance to work with K-pop’s biggest stars to bring a fresh sound to familiar songs. Megan Thee Stallion and PSY also appear in the series. In the series, one K-pop group will team up with a Western artist or band. Together, they will rework an existing iconic song from the Western artist. The goal is to put a little bit of K-pop flair into every song. They’re on a tight deadline and must revamp the song and put together a powerful performance quickly.
Then, the artists take the stage in Seoul, Korea, for a song battle in front of a live audience. The stakes are sky-high because the audience votes on the best performance of the evening. The champion K-pop stars put on another incredible performance to celebrate their success.
