‘Reacher’ spinoff, ‘Neagley,’ is debuts Wednesday; here’s how to stream it
The new spinoff keeps the ‘Reacher’ universe going with a full-season drop immediately after the Season 4 finale.
There’s something awesomely aggressive about Prime Video ending “Reacher” Season 4 and then, on the exact same day, dropping a brand-new series in the same universe. But you won’t hear me complaining! “Neagley” arrives with all eight episodes on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The show sends Frances Neagley — a private investigator — to dig into the suspicious death of a friend. For those desperate to know, yes, Alan Ritchson does appear, but this is obviously Neagley’s show, so this time, he’s supporting her. You can watch “Neagley” with a 30-day free trial of Prime Video.

Everything you need to know about ‘Neagley’
When will episodes of ‘Neagley’ come out on Prime Video?
Prime Video drops all eight episodes of Season 1 of “Neagley” on the same day: Wednesday, Sept. 16. And that day is intentional because it’s the same day as the “Reacher” Season 4 finale. So the streamer is hoping to get some solid traction from “Reacher” fans to give this new one a shot.
Why do we recommend Prime Video for watching ‘Neagley’?
The short answer is because it’s the only place you can watch “Neagley.” This show is a Prime Video original series, so there’s no other streamer or cable channel where you can watch it. Obviously, with Prime Video carrying the “Reacher” franchise, it makes sense they spun off Neagley’s character for her own show on the streamer.
Can you watch ‘Neagley’ for free?
Yep, and even better, you can binge the whole series for free if you want. Prime Video offers a 30-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, so you can grab your free trial, load up all eight episodes of Season 1, and work your way through it over the course of your free month. With streamers like Hulu and Netflix moving away from free trials, Prime Video’s 30-day trial is a big advantage.

What is ‘Neagley’ about?
“Neagley” takes one of the best supporting characters from “Reacher” and gives her her own series. Maria Sten returns as Frances Neagley, a former member of the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit who now works as a private investigator in Chicago. When someone she was once close with is killed in what looks like a suspicious accident, Neagley starts digging and quickly finds herself pulled into something much bigger.
And yes, Alan Ritchson does show up as Jack Reacher, but he’s guest starring rather than co-leading the series, so this is very much Neagley’s story. The series comes from “Reacher” co-showrunner Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, who serve as creators and co-showrunners, with Lee Child also executive producing. Lee Child, of course, is the creator of the “Reacher” novels, and while no Neagley novel has been released (they are in the works), his hand is helping guide this spinoff.
Neagley
Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago and former military colleague of Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice.
