Why we like Sling TV for watching ‘Running with the Wolves’
There’s a ton of great stuff to watch this summer, from buzzy docuseries like this one to live sports, concerts, and more. If you want to keep up with all the big summer events without overspending, Sling is your best bet. It’s the most affordable way to get major cable networks and national broadcast channels, which is huge with so many must-see shows and games happening across multiple channels.
Normally, Sling runs $46 per month, but right now you can grab 50% off your first month of service, which drops the price to just $23 for your first month. Sling offers two base packages, Orange and Blue, and you can sign up for one or both. If you bundle them, the regular price is $61 per month, but with the first-month discount, you’ll get both for just $30.50. And once NFL and college football kick off, there’s no cheaper way to catch all the action than Sling.
Sling TV
Sling TV is The Streamable’s choice for cord-cutters on a budget. Sling is a live TV streaming service with multiple channel packages. The $45.99/month Sling Orange plan offers about 30 channels, including Disney Channel and ESPN. The $45.99/month Sling Blue plan offers about 40 channels, including ABC, Fox, and NBC in major markets.
You can combine Orange+Blue for a total of $60.99 / month. Sling also offers many channel add-on packages starting at $6/month.
Can you watch ‘Running with the Wolves’ for free?
If you’re just looking for a way to stream this docuseries and don’t need anything else, there are a few services with free trials worth checking out. DIRECTV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, and YouTube TV all offer them, but the trial length isn’t the same across the board. DIRECTV is the most reliable, giving you a solid five-day free trial, while Hulu + Live TV consistently offers three days.
Fubo is a bit more unpredictable. As The Streamable’s David Satin pointed out, figuring out the exact length can be confusing even as you sign up. The trial might last just one day or stretch to seven, and Fubo doesn’t really explain why.
YouTube TV isn’t much better — it promotes trials lasting “up to two weeks,” but some users have reported only getting two days, making it hard to know for sure before you commit.
If you want the most straightforward free option, stick with DIRECTV. Its five-day trial is the longest guaranteed deal you’ll find.

About ‘Running with the Wolves’
“Running with the Wolves” isn’t just a soccer show. It’s about what happens when two TV stars jump headfirst into one of the toughest jobs in sports: running a struggling Italian club. Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa find themselves juggling player contracts, coaching drama, and the relentless expectations of die-hard fans, all while trying to keep their personal and professional lives from spinning out of control. Campobasso FC, nicknamed the “Lupi” (Italian for “Wolves”), isn’t exactly a glamorous team, which makes their journey feel all the more like an underdog story.
What makes the series stand out is how personal it gets. You’ll see Mark wrestling with big calls that could make or break the season, while Kelly tries to balance being supportive and figuring out what life in Italy might look like for their family. It’s a look at how ownership isn’t just about signing checks — it’s about passion, risk, and trying to turn a dream into something real. Don’t miss it when it drops the first two episodes on Monday, July 29 at 7 p.m. ET.
