About ‘Surface’
Created by Veronica West and produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, the banner behind “Big Little Lies” and “Little Fires Everywhere,” “Surface” stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Sophie, who after a suicide attempt is left with a traumatic head injury and extreme memory loss, forcing her to put the pieces of her life back together with help from her husband and friends. But the more information she gets, the more she begins to question whether the information she’s being told is really representative of the life she led.
In Season 2, desperate to uncover the truth about her mother’s death, Sophie returns home to London, following the few clues and vast stolen resources she has to infiltrate elite British society and the city’s most powerful (and secretive family). Everything changes when a dogged journalist contacts her out of the blue, and the two begin working together to expose a shocking scandal.
Returning for the second season opposite Mbatha-Raw are Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Millie Brady. New additions include Phil Dunster, Gavin Drea, Rupert Graves, Tara Fitzgerald, Nina Sosanya, Joely Richardson, and Freida Pinto.
What else can you watch with a subscription to Apple TV+?

You can also check out the recent psychological thriller “Before,” starring Billy Crystal; the dystopian sci-fi drama “Silo”; and the legal thriller “Presumed Innocent.”
