About the 2025 NBA Draft
The 2025 NBA Draft has been a source of unyielding controversy ever since the Dallas Mavericks — fresh off what many have called the worst trade in NBA history, which saw Luka Doncic head to the Los Angeles Lakers — won the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Dallas is widely expected to pick Duke forward Cooper Flagg, after which the uncertainty of the draft will really kick in.
ABC and ESPN will offer distinct presentations of the first night of the draft, but both will see appearances from analyst Stephen A. Smith. Former NBA Executive of the Year Bob Myers will also be on hand, and Monica McNutt will serve as reporter. Marty Smith will report from Cooper Flagg’s watch party, and Malika Andrews, Jay Bilas, and Kendrick Perkins will anchor coverage from the main set.
