What happened in Season 1 of ‘The Buccaneers’?
“The Buccaneers” is a period drama that follows the story of five American girls in the 1870s — Nan and Jinny St. George, Izzy and Mabel Elmsworth, and Conchita Closson — who head across the pond to find love. Arriving in England, they soon attract the attention of suitors, the jealousy of English women, and the attention of essentially everyone they come into contact with.
Each woman has the chance to explore a relationship of her own, but there are as many tribulations as there are triumphs. They’ve taken London by storm, but there’s still plenty of culture clashes to sort through.
The Buccaneers
A group of fun-loving American girls burst onto the scene in tightly corseted 1870s London, kicking off an Anglo-American culture clash. Sent to secure husbands and status, the buccaneers’ hearts are set on much more than that.
