What is ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Season 4 about?
“The Lincoln Lawyer” Season 4 is the most personal the show has ever gotten. After the Season 3 finale left a dead body in the trunk of Mickey Haller’s Lincoln, Mickey is suddenly the one on trial, fighting to prove his own innocence and keep his career from going up in flames. As the show’s creators have said, Mickey isn’t just defending a client this time. He is the client. And the prosecutor coming for him is Dana Berg, a brutal, no-nonsense DA with a reputation for putting people away and not losing sleep over it. She has history with both Mickey and Maggie, and none of it’s good. With the prosecution playing dirty and enemies from Mickey’s past creeping back into the picture, the pressure starts piling up fast.
Maggie is back in a big way this season, wrestling with what it means to help someone she usually stands across the courtroom from. Lorna is forced to step up as a lawyer faster than she expected, Izzy and Cisco stay in Mickey’s corner, and even his mentor Legal Siegel shows up when things get heavy. Mickey keeps cracking jokes and pretending he’s fine, but it doesn’t take long for the cracks to show. This season is about reputation, survival, and what happens when the guy who always has a plan finally runs out of moves.
