About ‘Rings of Power’ Season 2
The first season of “Rings of Power” concluded with the forging of the Three Rings of the Elves, which Sauron’s hand never touched. But the Elven commander Galadriel learns a horrifying truth: the man she has trusted and aided for so much of the first season is none other than Sauron in disguise, and he takes on a new form to earn the trust of Celebrimbor, greatest of the Elven smiths.
As Sauron twists Celebrimbor to his will, others will try to thwart his evil designs. In the eastern lands of Rhun, the wizard known as The Stranger continues his quest to learn more about his identity and his purpose. In the Dwarven halls of Khazad-Dum, King Durin III must take extreme measures to save his kingdom. In Lindon, high king Gil-galad is determined to use the Elven rings to help heal the hurts of Middle-earth before all fall under the dominion of Sauron. On the island of Numenor, distrust of the Elves and envy at their eternal life leads some men to believe the kingdom could challenge the might of the Valar themselves.
