Hulu’s top TV and movie titles to get you in the fall spirit
Whether the fall means back-to-school, football, chunky sweaters, or Spooky Season, the Disney-owned streamer has something for you.
What I love about fall is that it is the season with the most variety. It starts with back-to-school and football; before long, it transitions into leaves changing colors and chunky sweaters; then things get spooky before turning toward the holiday season. Since I live in a state that doesn’t really have seasons outside of summer and surface-of-the-sun, when the calendar officially flipped to fall last week, I started craving the seasonal vibes from growing up in the Midwest, and what better way to envelop yourself in autumn than by curling up on the couch underneath a blanket, drinking some hot cocoa or cider, and bingeing your favorite fall-themed TV and movies?
Regardless of what part of fall is your favorite, Hulu’s massive library of TV shows and movies undoubtedly has something for you. I have pulled together some of my favorite autumn-related TV and film titles to get you started on your autumn binge, but once you’ve rewatched your favorites or discovered something new, explore the rest of what Hulu has to offer in its extensive archive of titles.

16 TV shows on Hulu to get you in the fall spirit
Sometimes it is a cozy comedy that feels right when the weather starts cooling off; sometimes it is a back-to-school show, a football comedy, or something involving witches, vampires, ghosts, and things that go bump in the night. These 16 shows currently streaming on Hulu cover just about every version of the season, but for my money, there is no show in the history of television that feels more fall than “Gilmore Girls.”
From the New England foliage of Stars Hollow to the quaint fall festivals to Luke’s coffee to Rory and Lorelai’s sweaters, nothing screams fall to me more than “Gilmore Girls.”

Once fall arrives, movie night can mean just about anything from cozy witches and family-friendly Halloween nostalgia to football, murder mysteries, and genuinely terrifying horror. Hulu’s current movie library has plenty of options for easing into the season before eventually turning the lights off and embracing spooky season completely.
But similar to “Gilmore Girls” above, for some reason, Greta Gerwig’s Oscar-winning adaptation of “Little Women” feels like the epitome of fall to me. I think the Concord, Massachusetts setting inherently gives it autumn vibes, as I imagine it is perpetually fall in New England. I know that when you factor in the significant parts of the story that happen on Christmas, that can technically push it into the early days of winter, but it still counts in my book.
