Formula 1 fans — notably those in the McLaren camp — are in for a treat in 2027 as Prime Video looks to be in the early stages of a three-part docuseries about current champion, Lando Norris. The 26-year-old Norris took the F1 Driver’s Championship last year to cap off an amazing season, and the new series will document his life over the course of a few months, which, according to Norris, has already been filming for a while. Fans of the Netflix series “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” will certainly be anxious to see how this pans out.

Last season, Lando Norris and McLaren took the F1 world by storm, powering through — with the help of team mate Oliver Bearman — to overtake reigning champ Max Verstappen and Red Bull. By mid-season, there was no question that McLaren would take the Championship; the question was which driver. Norris took charge and never looked back, earning his first Driver’s Championship at just 26 years old.

The new series comes from Box to Box Films with director Ben Phethean at the helm. Unlike the hit series on Netflix, the new production, under the aptly named working title “Lando,” will focus solely on Norris and his daily routine during the summer break from the F1 season. Norris has some work to do this season, however, as he sits in 4th place with 159 points and just 2 wins thus far.

You can follow along with the second half of the Formula 1 season to see how things pan out for Norris and McLaren, all of which can be seen exclusively on Apple TV.
