Last Chance: Lock in Paramount+ Price Before Price Hike Tomorrow
Paramount+ plans are rising in price for new customers as of Aug. 20.
As with basically every other top streaming service on the market, Paramount+ is raising prices in 2024. The streamer announced in late June that it would boost the price of a Paramount+ subscription starting Tuesday, Aug. 20. Both tiers of Paramount+ are rising in price on Tuesday; the ad-supported Essential plan is changing from $5.99 per month to $7.99, while the ad-free Paramount+ with SHOWTIME tier is increasing from $11.99 per month to $12.99.
Fortunately, Paramount+ offers annual plans that allow customers to prepay and save. If you want to lock in a lower Paramount+ rate now, you can sign up for an annual plan and not have to worry about your subscription price rising until next August!

What Can You Watch on Paramount+?
Paramount+ is a fantastic general entertainment service. The streamer carries a wide range of exclusives, such as titles sprung from the mind of Taylor Sheridan including “Mayor of Kingstown,” “1923” and “Tulsa King.” The service also offers NFL football, UEFA Champions League soccer, kids titles like “SpongeBob SquarePants,” favorites like “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” and much more. An annual plan to Paramount+ Essential will give you access to all this for just $59.99 per year before the cost goes up.
Paramount+ with SHOWTIME gives you all of the content mentioned above and removes commercials during playback. You’ll also get access to premium titles like “The Chi,” “Yellowjackets” and other series and movies that are SHOWTIME exclusives, as well as a livestream of your local CBS station, which will allow you to watch games from the annual NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, college football, live news and more.
Annual plans of Paramount+ Essential will cost $79.99 per year starting Aug. 20, and the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME tier is jumping to $129.99. If you’d rather save yourself some money, you still have a little time left to sign up for the streamer now and lock in the annual subscription rate of Paramount+ until next August.
