That’s according to The Wrap, which reports that “Lilo & Stitch” has been smashing it with fans in its first few days after being released on the Disney+ streaming platform.

That puts “Lilo & Stitch” at the No. 2 position in terms of premieres of live-action adaptations of animated classics on Disney+. Only “The Little Mermaid” sits above “Lilo & Stitch” on the list, and no matter which way you look at it Disney has to be pleased with the performance of the movie.
The success of the live-action version of “Lilo & Stitch” is also having what’s known in the business as a halo effect, having a positive effect on other titles in the same franchise. The animated original version of the movie compiled 670 million minutes streamed in the same five-day period after the streaming release of the live-action film.
