Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals kicks off tonight between the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder. With the Pacers a resounding underdog, they’ll look to come out strong when things get going on Thursday at 8:35 p.m. ET on ABC. Two small-market teams such as these rarely make it to the big show, so this series will surely be one for the ages and there will be plenty to talk about!

How to watch the Thunder vs. Pacers Game 1

When: Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 8:30 p.m. ET
TV: ABC
Stream: Watch with a five-day free trial to DIRECTV.

With the Thunder coming in as the top seed, led by 2025 MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, they certainly don’t need to prove why they’re in the finals this year. On the flipside, Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers will have to leave it all on the court if they hope to come away with an NBA championship for the first time in franchise history.
