Netflix has found another sport that it can turn into a major viewing event. The streamer follows that guideline with certainty, eschewing the pursuit of major sports unless it can turn those sports into appointment streaming. On Thursday, Netflix announced a deal to stream the Six Kings Slam tennis tournament from Riyadh season, an event that seems tailor-made for the streamer.

Key Details:

  • Coming up soon: Six Kings Slam will begin streaming on Oct. 15.
  • Only the best: The tournament will feature six of the best men’s tennis players from around the world.
  • Building sports availability: Netflix is also in pursuit of the Home Run Derby, and has a growing list of sports rights.

The Six Kings Slam tennis tournament was first played in 2024, when Jannik Sinner outlasted Carlos Alcaraz to score a thrilling triumph. Now, Netflix will stream all three days of the second edition of the tournament when it begins on Oct. 15. The Six Kings Slam will be available at no additional cost to all global Netflix customers.

The tournament will see Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Jack Draper, Taylor Fritz, Sinner, and Alexander Zevrev meet in a tournament to determine which player can outlast the others. The event will be streamed live from ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Oct. 15, 16, and 18.

Fans will find the stream of the Six Kings Slam tournament an immersive experience. Netflix has pledged to employ more than 20 cameras, including wirecam and drone cameras, augmented reality graphics, and expert commentary to help make the stream an unmissable event for any tennis fan.

Netflix now has a steadily growing roster of live sports and sports-adjacent programming. It streams episodes of “WWE Raw” weekly, and will host the Canelo vs. Crawford boxing match on Sept. 13. Two live NFL games will play on Netflix once again this Christmas, and the streamer is reportedly in pursuit of the MLB’s Home Run Derby as well.
