Netflix is rolling out additional subtitle and dubbing options for viewers on TVs.

One of the most underrated features of on-demand streaming is the increased accessibility that viewers can enjoy as opposed to linear TV. Streamers often feature a huge range of language options when it comes to subtitles and even audio overdubs, and Netflix is definitely one of the best in this regard. It’s getting even better, too; the streamer announced on Wednesday that it was adding more subtitle and overdub options for Netflix watchers on TV.

Key Details:

  • All available languages will be available with every Netflix title when watching on TV after the update.
  • Netflix’s catalog comes with shows and movies in over 30 languages.
  • Previously, Netflix’s full list of language options was only available on web browsers and mobile devices.

Starting on Wednesday, April 2, Netflix will begin updating its various connected TV apps to allow viewers to pick from the full list of languages available for any title in its library. If you want to watch your favorite Spanish show dubbed in Korean and with English subtitles, or utilize any other combination Netflix offers, you can now do so.

The Netflix library includes titles in more than 30 languages, and some of its most popular titles are originally non-English, including “All Quiet on the Western Front,” “Squid Game,” and many others.

Check out how to access new language options from Netflix in the video below:

These expanded language options were already available to Netflix subscribers on web browsers and mobile phones, but until now viewers could not see all of them when watching on TV. Now, viewers can change up their language choices however they want, and watch on the biggest screen in their home.

In addition to these expansive subtitle and dubbing options, Netflix offers other accessibility features. Viewers can customize their subtitles to make them more pleasing to the eye, and can also browse by language on PC computers if they wish to narrow down their choices a bit more.

The list of great features on Netflix is a big reason that it has grown to the world’s largest and most popular streamer. The added accessibility for viewers on connected TV devices will only increase that popularity.
