The Fire TV Stick HD that launched in 2026.

Amazon is launching a new model of its lowest-priced Fire TV device: the Fire TV Stick HD. The player is advertised as the slimmest streaming device in the Fire TV line — around 30% smaller than the previous design. It’s also optimized to be powered through a TV’s USB port, so there’s no need to try to find a wall plug or power strip outlet for it. Preorder the new Fire TV Stick HD, and get more details about the player below!

How to preorder the new Amazon Fire TV Stick HD

The new Fire TV Stick HD will retail for $35. With its slimmed-down size and ability to be powered via a USB port, it’s the least bulky streaming device Amazon has ever offered. It will fit even in the tightest spaces behind your TV, and of course, will allow you to play all your favorite streaming apps, like Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix, and all the rest.

The stick promises speed improvements of around 30% over the last-generation Fire TV Stick HD. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, and the Alexa+ AI assistant. The stick can be used to help control smart home devices, and its Adaptive Display will make text and menus easier to see.

The new device will use Fire TV powered by Vega OS, which means viewers will not be able to upload third-party apps onto the device. Only apps from the Amazon App Store will be available on the new Fire TV Stick HD.

If Amazon’s next-gen Fire TV streaming device is what you’ve been waiting for, pre-order it now! The Fire TV Stick HD will ship on Wednesday, April 29, and be delivered to pre-order customers’ doors within days of its release.
