New bundle of STARZ, Crunchyroll launching on Prime Video
The premium TV streaming service is combining with the anime-first platform for $17 per month.
Who doesn’t love getting more for less? Starting Wednesday, Prime Video subscribers can do just that by accessing a new, exclusive bundle from two popular streaming services. Anime giant Crunchyroll and premium cable streamer STARZ are coming together in this new combo, which will cost $17 per month instead of the normal $22 it would cost to purchase the services separately.
Key Details:
- Newly available: The Crunchyroll and STARZ bundle on Prime Video launches on Wednesday.
- Save big: At $17 per month, the bundle is 23% off the standard price of the two streamers combined.
- Big libraries: The bundle offers a wide selection of prestige TV shows, movies, and anime titles.
The new bundle of STARZ and Crunchyroll will allow viewers to watch all the prestige TV and high-quality movies on STARZ, as well as the vast anime library of Crunchyroll at a discounted price. The $17-per-month rate represents a 23% price cut off what customers could expect to pay for the two services on their own.
“This offering brings together two services with distinctive programming, giving viewers access to a range of stories and genres,” STARZ president Alison Hoffman said. “The way households discover and consume television continues to evolve. This bundle with Crunchyroll and Prime Video enables us to broaden our reach and introduce the STARZ slate of premium programming to new viewers.”
With STARZ, viewers will be able to stream the new season of “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” in September, the first true STARZ original series “Fightland,” the upcoming series finale of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” and much more.
Crunchyroll offers iconic anime titles like “Dragon Ball” and “My Hero Academia,” as well as a ton of new titles. Subtitled and dubbed viewing options are available for a huge selection of the Crunchyroll library, and the streamer even offers brand-new episodes weekly, fresh from Japan.
“At Crunchyroll, we believe anime is a powerful medium for storytelling and connection, and our goal is to continue bringing it to more audiences in more accessible ways,” Crunchyroll EVP Terry Li said. “This launch is a meaningful step in expanding how fans can discover and connect with the series they love, while opening the door for even more viewers to experience the breadth of anime storytelling.”
The bundle is exclusively available in the Prime Video Subscriptions tab. Viewers who aren’t Prime Video subscribers can get the streamer on its own starting at $9 per month, or can receive it as a benefit of the Amazon Prime subscription for $15 per month.
