Tubi Gets a New Look

Tubi has become an undeniable force in streaming. Now, the beloved free streamer is getting a facelift. The familiar logo and orange color scheme have been tossed in favor of a purple and yellow look. The great lineup of movies and TV shows will remain the same.

The new look is rolling out slowly. You can see it on their website, but as of this writing, it’s not reflected in the Apple TV app, for example.

Nearly two-thirds of Tubi’s audience are cord-cutters or “cord nevers” - people who have never subscribed to cable. The service now has 200,000+ movies and TV episodes, a growing collection of exclusive originals, and over 250 live channels.

Unlike many of its free-streaming peers, Tubi offers a wide variety of top-quality entertainment. Users can watch films like “La La Land,” “Lawrence of Arabia,” “West Side Story,” “Scarface,” “Unforgiven,” “American History X,” “Zombieland,” “Sing,” “Ford v. Ferrari,” “Billy Madison,” “New Jack City,” and “Short Circuit.”

Tubi is especially beloved by fans of bad movies, since it features gems like “Frankenthug,” “Bad CGI Gator,” and “The Gothfather.”

In addition to its enormous streaming catalog of award winners and B-movie cheese, Tubi also has an advantage with a lower ad load than most of its competitors.

As prices for all tiers of all streamers continue to rise, the free players continue to gain more users. Nielsen reported that in January, Tubi accounted for 1.5% of viewing time, which is higher than premium streamers like Max and Paramount+ and more than double the previous king of free streaming, Pluto TV.

Tubi’s programming includes films and television series from Fox Entertainment, MGM, Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., NBCUniversal, Disney, and more.
