Pittsburgh Pirates streamer SNP 360 launches Season Pass plan
Fans of the Pirates now have a new option to stream their favorite team in-market without cable.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are gearing up to open the 2025 [Major League Baseball] season on Thursday, March 27 as they will take on the Miami Marlins. Phenom pitcher Paul Skenes will take the mound for the Pirates, and because the game is not being broadcast on national TV, fans in Pittsburgh will be able to watch either on the SportsNet Pittsburgh or on the SNP 360 streaming service. As announced by SportsNet Pittsburgh on Wednesday, fans now have a new subscription option for SNP 360, giving them the choice to sign up monthly or with a season-long plan.
Key Details:
- SNP 360’s new Season Pass costs $100 for the year.
- The streamer is raising the price of its monthly plan to $22.
- SNP 360 includes a live stream of SportsNet Pittsburgh and other features.
SNP 360 is now giving customers an option to sign up for a six-month subscription which it calls a Season Pass, costing $100. It will unlock all Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins games not appearing on national TV channels such as ESPN, TNT, TBS, and Fox, and auto-renews once those six months are up.
In addition, SNP 360 announced that it was raising the price of its monthly plan to $22. Previously, customers could sign up for SNP 360’s monthly option for $18 per month, and the increase represents a price hike of nearly 20%. That makes the Season Pass a better value, since six months at the monthly rate adds up to $132. Customers who signed up for the monthly plan at $18 will be able to keep that price for as long as they have their subscription.
“We’re excited to offer a new way for Pittsburgh fans to stay connected to their teams with the launch of the SNP 360 Season Pass,” said Ahmed Darwish, CMO of SportsNet Pittsburgh. “Whether you’re catching every puck drop or following every pitch, SNP 360 makes it easy and affordable to watch your favorite teams, your way.”
In addition to live games, fans can watch a live stream of the SportsNet Pittsburgh linear channel and SportsNet Pittsburgh+. It also features a library of on-demand content, and Cloud DVR features. Fans can stream it through mobile devices, connected TVs, or on Web, and any who get the SportsNet Pittsburgh channel through a pay-TV subscription can log in and use the service at no extra cost.
Nearly all MLB teams now offer a service like SNP 360, which helps fans avoid blackouts and access their favorite teams better. SNP 360 wants to give its viewers more choice, which is why it has launched the new Season Pass subscription option ahead of the 2025 MLB season.
