Prime Video is a subscription video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 10,000+ movies, TV shows, and Prime Originals like “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “Jack Ryan,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “The Boys,” and more. Subscribers can also add third-party services like Max, Showtime, STARZ, and dozens more with Prime Video Channels. Prime Video also offers exclusive live access to NFL Thursday Night Football.
Returning to airwaves for the first time in 17 years, “The Skins Game” has a great lineup of players attached to appear. Keegan Bradley, Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele, and Justin Thomas are slated to compete, and the format for the tournament will remain largely unchanged as fans remember it.
In one exciting twist for this version of “The Skins Game,” the event will feature a “reverse purse” – all players will begin the competition with $1 million on the scoreboard, and fans will watch as the players’ fortunes rise and fall with every hole won or lost, adding a new layer of excitement and more stakes to every stroke. The event is being produced by Pro Shop and Propgate Content.
“We’ve taken up the mantle to bring back The Skins Game, and we’re proud to work alongside PGA TOUR Studios, Prime Video and Propagate Content to reintroduce this iconic event and reclaim its rightful place on the sports calendar,” Pro Shop president Chad Mumm said. “By keeping the traditional format intact and adding some creative twists, we’re giving fans an experience that honors the past while delivering pure, high-stakes competition where the pressure builds with every shot.”
“The Skins Game” will be played at Panther National in South Florida, which is billed as “the vision of Jack Nicklaus. Bordered by a nature preserve, this course comes with major elevation changes, stunning views, and water features, and forced carries dotted across the course. It should prove quite an entertaining challenge for even these skilled golfers to tackle.
“The PGA TOUR is proud to bring back the iconic Skins Game as the kickoff to the sports calendar’s biggest day of the year,” PGA Tour VSVP Chris Wandell said. “With four of our game’s biggest stars competing in a modern reimagining of this nostalgic event, fans around the world are in for a treat this Black Friday as the TOUR tees off a full day of sports action on Prime Video.”
Once “The Skins Game” wraps up on Prime Video, fans will be able to pivot to the streamer’s traditional NFL game. Since 2023, Prime Video has streamed an NFL game live on Black Friday, and this year’s contest will feature the Chicago Bears taking on the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. That’s a big day of sports for Prime Video, especially when it tees off with the return of “The Skins Game” at 9 a.m. ET.
