The Roku Channel is much more than just a free ad-supported streaming service. It’s also a platform that allows subscribers to sign up for additional streaming services and watch their content directly through the Roku app, keeping all the subscription bills in a single place. On Tuesday, Roku announced that it was adding a new streamer to its catalog: the direct-to-consumer service Fox One.

Key Details:

  • Foxy option: Roku Channel is adding Fox One to its Premium Subscriptions.
  • Access and convenience: Viewers who sign up will be able to watch Fox programming directly through the Roku app.
  • Deeper integration: Titles streaming on Fox One will appear in the Roku Sports Zone.

Roku customers can now sign up for Fox One through the Roku Channel’s Premium Subscriptions for $20 per month. Customers could previously find Fox One in the Roku channel store, but its arrival in Premium Subscriptions means viewers get to subscribe to Fox One, watch all of its content through the Roku app, and get billed for it alongside other Roku Channel Premium Subscriptions.

A Fox One subscription will allow viewers to watch all content appearing on Fox broadcast and cable channels without a pay-TV subscription. Its offerings include Fox, FS1, FS2, Fox News, Fox Business Network, and more. Having a subscription will allow fans to watch all 104 matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, among other programming.

“Fox One is a tremendous addition to Roku’s Premium Subscriptions experience, which is focused on making it easier for customers to discover, subscribe to, and stream the content they love all in one place,” Roku executive Gil Fuchsberg said. “The addition of Fox One expands the premium entertainment, news, and live sports available through Premium Subscriptions on The Roku Channel ahead of the biggest global sports moment of the year.”

Additionally, live sports appearing on Fox One will be discoverable in the Roku Sports Zone programming hub. This hub is available to all Roku Channel users and shows fans where they can find and watch major sports events. Viewers who are subscribed to Fox One will be able to hop into any sporting events appearing on the streamer directly from the Sports Zone.

“Fox One is known for bringing fans access to live global sports along with our signature news and entertainment,” Fox DTC CEO Pete Distad said. “Joining Premium Subscriptions on The Roku Channel expands our reach and gives fans yet another way to find and enjoy all of the Fox content they love.”
