Play Pac-Man and other games during commercials in Sling TV’s Arcade
Sling’s Arcade feature allows subscribers to pull up a game alongside their viewing window and play while they watch live TV.
Haven’t you ever wanted something more entertaining to do while you’re watching live TV and a commercial break popped up? Sling TV allows you to do just that with its Arcade feature. This little bonus allows paid Sling subscribers to pull up a game alongside their video window and play through ad breaks at no additional cost, and Sling announced on Thursday that it’s expanding the inventory of games available, including one famous classic.
Key Details:
- Sling’s Arcade now features Pac-Man for the first time.
- Four other games were also added to Sling’s Arcade with the new update.
- The Sling Arcade first launched in March and allows viewers to play games while streaming TV.
The Sling Arcade was already equipped with more than 10 games, but this week it will welcome a total of five new additions. The headliner is Pac-Man, which has been entertaining players for more than 40 years since its launch in 1980.
The five new games on Sling’s Arcade available now include:
-
PAC-MAN – The ultimate classic arcade game is now available on Sling, bringing nostalgia and fun to screens nationwide.
-
Trivia Crack – Test your knowledge in this popular trivia game, now available alongside live TV.
-
Dots – A simple yet addictive game where users connect dots to win.
-
Wordleful – A new word game for fans of puzzles and vocabulary challenges.
-
Haunted Castle – Venture through a dark, mysterious castle in this classic adventure game.
“Arcade gives our subscribers the chance to enjoy a completely new entertainment experience that goes beyond TV,” DIsh’s Gary Schanman said. “Our latest game additions bring beloved and interactive titles to our users, allowing them to easily shift from watching their favorite show to playing games—all without switching devices.”
As referenced by Schanman, Sling TV’s Arcade feature allows viewers to stream TV and play a game side by side. First launched in March, the feature is a great way for viewers to stay entertained while they wait for a commercial break while watching their favorite TV show or sports team on Sling.
The Arcade feature is available while using Sling TV on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Samsung, LG, Vizio, and Comcast TVs and streaming players. It now features 16 total games and is available at no additional charge to all paid Sling subscribers. A Sling base plan starts at $40 per month as of now, but prices will rise by at least $6 per month in December.
