The Cubs made even more noise in the playoffs, downing the San Diego Padres in the Wild Card round before losing to the rival Brewers in the Division Series. All in all, it was a major step forward for the Cubs, and the team is looking forward to more in 2026.

The Cubs added third baseman Alex Bregman on a five-year, $175 million contract this offseason. A trade with the Miami Marlins brought starting pitcher Edward Cabrera to Chicago, as well, and if he’s healthy, he could be a major addition to the team’s rotation.
