“Oppenheimer” Comes to Peacock Next Month

Christopher Nolan’s box office smash and award season darling “Oppenheimer” will soon make its long-awaited streaming debut.

The thriller, which just racked up five Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Director, Best Male Actor - Drama, Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role, and Best Original Score, will arrive on Peacock for its exclusive streaming debut on Friday, Feb. 16.

Earning almost $1 billion worldwide, the epic stars Cillian Murphy as physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who becomes the central figure in a pulse-pounding race against the Nazis to develop the first atomic bomb. Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Josh Hartnett, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, and others make up the rest of the A-list ensemble.


“Julia” Canceled at Max

The kitchen is closed. Max has canceled the critically acclaimed series “Julia” after two seasons.

The Sarah Lancashire-led dramedy was based on the life of groundbreaking chef and author Julia Child, who brought French food to the American masses through her cookbooks and television show “The French Chef.” The series recently concluded its second season after debuting on Nov. 23.

The cast also included David Hyde Pierce, Bebe Neuwirth, Brittany Bradford, Fran Kranz, Fiona Glascott, and Robert Joy. The series ends with both of its seasons averaging a 96% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.


“Curb Your Enthusiasm” Final Season Gets Trailer

Just because HBO and Max’s long-running “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is heading into its final season doesn’t mean Larry David doesn’t have time to make a few new enemies.

HBO has released the trailer for the final season of the comedy created by and starring David. The 12th and final season will see the return of Larry’s usual combatants Cheryl Hines, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson, and Susie Essman, as well as a slew of guest stars including Dan Levy, Sean Hayes, and Vince Vaughn. Other series mainstays Tracey Ullman, Jeff Garlin, and J.B. Smoove will also return.

The final season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” premieres on Feb. 4 at 10 p.m. ET on HBO and Max with weekly episodes through the series finale on April 7.


“Halo” Season 2 Gets Official Trailer

Paramount+ released a first-look trailer for the upcoming Season 2 of “Halo” at the beginning of last month, but the streamer now released its full official trailer for the highly anticipated season.

The series, based on the hit video game franchise of the same name, dramatizes an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. In Season 2, in the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, Master Chief John-117 cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe: the Covenant is preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation (or its extinction): the Halo.

Pablo Schreiber leads the cast opposite Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Fiona O’Shaughnessy, and Tylan Bailey. New additions to the cast this season include Joseph Morgan, Cristina Rodlo, and Christina Bennington.

The first two episodes of “Halo” Season 2 will premiere globally on Paramount+ on Thursday, Feb. 8.


Jenny Slate Sets New Prime Video Special

Jenny Slate is back to business with “Seasoned Professional,” an all-new stand-up special from A24 that will premiere next month on Prime Video.

Slate’s sophomore special, which was recently nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award, is “a mix of stage time, funny stories about adulthood, and conversations with family in her childhood home.” Per the logline, “Slate aims to show that being brave for love is worth it — even when it comes to pushing out a baby, stalking your therapist, or trusting your partner not to destroy you.”

“Parish” Starring Giancarlo Esposito Gets New Teaser

AMC alum Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul”) is back for more thrills with the highly-anticipated limited series “Parish,” which has released its first teaser.

Based on the hit British series “The Driver,” the high-octane crime thriller follows Gracian “Gray” Parish, a family man and proud owner of a luxury car service in New Orleans whose days as a wheelman resurface as he is sent on a high-stakes collision course with a violent criminal syndicate after his son is violently murdered and his business collapses.

“Parish” also stars Zackary Momoh, Paula Malcomson, Skeet Ulrich, Bonnie Mbuli, Ivan Mbakop, Arica Himmel, and Dax Rey with Bradley Whitford and Amanda Brugel appearing in recurring guest roles.

“Parish” will premiere on AMC and AMC+ in March.
