Ted Lasso Season 4 has begun production, according to an announcement video from Apple.

For all of those desperate for a little uplifting news these days, here it is. “Ted Lasso” is returning to Apple TV+ with new episodes, which are officially in production now. There are few details available about the fourth season of the show just yet, but production has started, as confirmed by a video posted by Apple on Monday.

Key Details:

  • Camera’s rolling: Apple shared a short video confirming filming for Season 4 of “Ted Lasso” has started.
  • Back to England: Filming for the season is taking place in both Kansas City and London.
  • Old and new faces: “Ted Lasso” will welcome a large number of stars back from the first three seasons.

The video posted by Apple shows Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, and Juno Temple sitting around a diner table preparing to film a scene. That confirms the presence of Ted, Rebecca Welton, Leslie Higgins, and Keeley Jones in the new season, and Apple has also made it official that Brendan Hunt’s Coach Beard and Brett Goldstein’s Roy Kent will return, and Nick Mohammed’s Nate Shelley is almost certain to appear as well.

The series also has an official logline now, confirming a storyline that has been rumored for nearly a year: Ted will be returning to London to coach an AFC Richmond women’s club. The logline reads:

Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.

Rumblings about a fourth season of “Ted Lasso” have been ongoing since the show’s third season ended, but star of the show Jason Sudeikis didn’t confirm that it would return for new episodes until this spring. Details have come out in drips and drabs, but this is the first major announcement from Apple about the return to production for the series.

There still is no release window confirmed for the show, which seems to be in the early stages of principal photography. It would be a surprise — but not a total shock — to see the series return to Apple TV+ before the end of 2025; 2026 is more likely, however.

In October 2025, Apple TV agreed to a deal with Formula 1 to exclusively broadcast all Formula 1 races starting with the 2026 season.

Apple TV also features coverage of all regular-season matches for Major League Soccer (MLS) at no additional cost.

On August 28th, 2026, the price of Apple TV was increased from $12.99 per month to $14.99 per month, the second increase in as many years.

The service is available worldwide through the Apple TV app, which is built into Apple devices and supported on most smart TVs, streaming players like Roku and Fire TV, game consoles, and web browsers. Subscribers can watch on demand, download episodes and movies for offline viewing, and stream in 4K with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, where available. Apple TV also offers family sharing, allowing up to six people to use one subscription at no extra cost.

With a competitive monthly price and bundles available through Apple One — which combines Apple TV with Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud storage, and more — the service continues to grow as a key part of Apple’s ecosystem. Apple TV delivers one of the strongest collections of exclusive content in the streaming space for viewers seeking prestige originals, cinematic storytelling, and seamless access across devices.
