Texas Rangers sign deal with Victory+ to stream games in 2025

The Rangers were formerly partnered with a Bally Sports regional sports network.

The Texas Rangers will play on Victory+ starting in 2025

The Lone Star State has a new major league sports team that will see its games primarily offered to in-market fans via streaming. The Texas Rangers announced on Wednesday that they would be partnering with Victory+, the same streaming service that offers Dallas Stars games. There will be one major difference in the presentation of the two teams, however: Rangers games will not be available for free.

Key Details:

  • Fans will pay $100 per season to get access to Rangers games on Victory+.
  • The club is still on the lookout for potential TV distributors as well.
  • Victory+ hosts Red Bull events, as well as Anaheim Ducks games in addition to its Texas teams.

When the Stars first signed with Victory+, the deal was seen as somewhat revolutionary, since the streamer pledged to offer games free to all audience members living in the Dallas media market.

The Rangers deal won’t be quite so fan-friendly, but will still provide audiences a way to stream Rangers games without a cable subscription. Viewers will be able to see all Rangers games not appearing on national TV channels through the 2025 season for a price of $100 for the year.

“The Rangers’ partnership with Victory+ as our direct-to-consumer provider is a tremendous first step as the club continues to finalize our television offerings for 2025 game broadcasts,” Rangers COO Neil Leibman said in a press release. “Victory+ has proven itself over the past few months as a reliable streaming home for several professional sports teams, and we feel Rangers fans will enjoy the familiarity, convenience and simplicity of this service.”

In addition to Stars and Rangers games, Victory+ has a partnership with Red Bull to show live events put on by the energy drink giant. Victory+ also distributes Anaheim Ducks games via streaming in the Southern California area, making the Rangers the third pro team to sign with the streamer.

The Rangers were formerly partnered with Bally Sports Southwest, which was renamed FanDuel Sports Network Southwest following a new naming rights agreement. The deal between the two expired following last season, and the Rangers announced at that time they would seek new options going forward. As reported by Front Office Sports, there is still the possibility that the Rangers find a linear TV partner to distribute their non-national games as well.
