TNT Sports adds FIBA basketball events
Tournament’s like the FIBA Men’s and Women’s World Cups are headed to TNT Sports platforms as part of the deal.
The 2025-26 season was the first with no NBA games on TNT Sports, and anyone missing the amount of basketball they used to find on Turner will be thrilled to know the company is adding more. Turner Sports has a new deal with the International Basketball Federation, allowing it to air FIBA events in English in the United States on its channels and related streaming services.
Key Details:
- Nothing but net: FIBA has chosen TNT Sports as its English-language broadcast partner in the U.S.
- Linear and digital: Games will air on TNT and truTV, and stream on HBO Max.
- Short wait: Live coverage of FIBA events begins on March 11.
The new multiyear deal between FIBA and TNT Sports will allow international basketball competitions to air in English on TNT and truTV. These games will also be available to stream on HBO Max for anyone with an ad-free subscription; ad-supported customers cannot watch live sports on the streamer.
