The top 10 summer 2026 streaming premieres we’re most excited for
June
‘Love Island USA’ Season 8 | Premieres on Peacock on June 2
Start off your summer with some true heat with the newest season of “Love Island USA” on Peacock. In Season 8, a new group of gorgeous singles will converge on a luxury villa in Fiji to couple, uncouple, and maybe even couple again, all with $100,000 on the line.
There’s nothing particularly groundbreaking about this season of “Love Island,” and that’ll be more than OK with fans. The show’s formula made Season 7 of “Love Island USA” the most-watched original TV season in Peacock history, attracting more than 18 billion viewing minutes. So, the streamer isn’t looking to shake things up too drastically.
‘Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat’ premiere | Premieres June 7 on AMC
AMC is switching up the formula for its third season of “Interview with the Vampire” this summer. Instead of sticking with the tale of Louis de Pointe du Lac, the focus will shift to the vampire Lestat as he goes on tour with his gothic rock band “Satan’s Night Out.”
As the band grows in popularity, so does Lestat’s influence over both humans and vampires. In the face of the Great Conversion, all will have to contend with the power of Lestat and his hypnotic songs. Will any be spared?
‘Power Book III: Raising Kanan’ Final Season | Premieres on STARZ on June 12
The journey of Kanan Stark is about to come to an end. For four seasons, Kanan has tried every possible method of escaping his mother’s shadow. And once he was finally free of her influence, he knew he could simply walk away and leave her myriad crimes unanswered.
Kanan’s ruthlessness is not to be discounted. Solidifying his position in Queens, the stage is set for one final showdown between Kanan and all of the city’s most dangerous criminal players. With Southside legend Breeze at his side, a reckoning that will have deadly consequences is nigh.
‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 | Premieres on HBO Max on June 21
The war for the Iron Throne continues on June 21, when The Dance of Dragons continues. Will Princess Rhaenyra finally take the throne she knows to be her birthright? And if so, what will it cost her to take up her position in King’s Landing? Will House Targaryen ever be the same?
As a fan of George R.R. Martin’s works and the adaptations HBO Max has made of them so far, it’s been fascinating to observe the growing rift between the author and “House of the Dragon” showrunners. Season 2 of the series left a somewhat bad taste in fans’ mouths (as well as Martin’s), and while I wasn’t as bothered by some of the changes as other fans, I’ll be watching Season 3 closely to see if the show gets back on track.
‘The Bear’ Season 5 | Premieres on Hulu on June 25
After building The Bear from the ground up with his own hands (and a lot of help), Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto has finally broken down. He’s decided to walk away from the restaurant for good and try to heal himself and the trauma he sustained in his drive to become a truly great chef.
His ownership share is now in the hands of his most trusted partners. But will Sydney, Richie, and Natalie be able to smooth out the restaurant’s rough patches and turn it into the success they all know it could be? And will Carmy be able to put the culinary horrors of his past behind him?
July
‘Elle’ series premiere | Premieres on Prime Video on July 1
Elle Woods is back! Fans have already grown to love the character and her legally brilliant mind in “Legally Blonde,” but this Prime Video original series will turn back the clock on Elle to show viewers what she was like before discovering her love of the law.
“Elle” follows the titular character in her high school years. Fans will learn much more about who Elle really is and the life that shaped her into the clever and ambitious sorority girl audiences are introduced to in the first movie.
‘Quarterback’ Season 3 | Premieres on Netflix on July 14
Things will be a little quiet on the NFL front for the summer, at least until training camps begin in late July. Until then, however, fans can get a taste of the action by tuning into Netflix for the third season of its documentary series “Quarterback.”
This season will follow Jaden Daniels of the Washington Commanders, Joe Flacco of the Cincinnati Bengals, Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Cam Ward of the Tennessee Titans as they make their way through the 2025 NFL season, both on and off the field.
‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Season 4 | Premieres on Paramount+ on July 23
With “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” due to end with its second season, the folks at Paramount will have to go back to the drawing board to come up with new live-action Trek content. Season 5 of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” will be the show’s last, giving fans a chance to say farewell to Captain Christopher Pike and crew.
Those are worries for 2027, however. Season 4 of “Strange New Worlds” premieres on July 23. Unlike previous seasons that had longer arcs, “Strange New Worlds” Season 4 will be fully episodic, with character-driven stories that follow the formula of some of Trek’s most popular all-time episodes.
August
‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 | Premieres on Apple TV on Aug. 5
He’s back! Just when audiences needed a reason to feel good again, Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, and company are bringing a new season of “Ted Lasso” to Apple TV, despite the show’s original plan to end after its third season.
In Season 4, Ted will return to England with a new challenge: whip AFC Richmond’s new women’s club into shape. Coach Beard is coming back, too, but they’ll be relying on a fresh coaching staff to make the team a success — along with plenty of Ted’s Kansas wisdom.
‘Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Seattle Seahawks’ | Premieres on HBO Max on Aug. 11
“Hard Knocks” is already one of the most intriguing sports documentary series on TV, even if it has been watered down a bit in recent seasons. It allows viewers to go inside training camp with a chosen NFL team, giving fans a real taste of what it’s like inside the building for players, coaches, and team executives.
But this year, “Hard Knocks” gets a little extra pop, since it will be following the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Viewers will get to see the preparation that goes into a title defense season, and the difficult decisions needed to shape the best roster possible for the team’s 2026 campaign.
