Top 3 Titles Coming to BritBox in May 2024: ‘Stath Lets Flats,’ ‘Lovejoy,’ BAFTA TV Awards, More
As we move into May, BritBox is bringing a collection of classic series, new movies, and live events to its platform in the United States this month. After a seven-day free trial, a subscription to BritBox costs $8.99 per month and this month, you will be able to stream all three seasons of the beloved comedy “Stath Lets Flats,” the 2024 BAFTA Television Awards, this year’s installment of “RHS Chelsea Flower Show,” and much more.
The Streamable’s experts have gone through the streamer’s slate for the month and we have pulled out five titles to recommend on BritBox in May 2024.
What are the 5 Best Shows and Movies Coming to BritBox in May 2024?
“Stath Lets Flats” | Season 1: May 3, Season 2: May 10, Season 3: May 17
BritBox is dolling out the comedy in weekly installments this month. On Friday, May 3, the streamer will begin streaming the first season of Jamie Demetriou’s beloved series “Stath Lets Flats” with the second and third seasons arriving on the subsequent Fridays. In the show, Demetriou plays the somewhat bumbling Stath, a man who works for his father’s flat rental agency in London.
Also starring in the series is Jamie Demetriou’s sister Natasia Demetriou, who — unsurprisingly — plays Stath’s sister. Also in the cast are Christos Stergioglou as their father, Katy Wix and Kiell Smith-Bynoe as co-workers Carole and Dean, Ellie White, Al Roberts, Dustin Demri-Burns, and “Ted Lasso” star Nick Mohammed.
Each season (or series if you are more comfortable with the British terminology) is just six episodes, so you have plenty of time to binge all three seasons before May is out.

“Lovejoy” | Season 2: May 6, Season 3: May 27
The first season of Ian McShane’s classic comedy-drama mystery series “Lovejoy” is already available on BritBox, but Seasons 2 and 3 will be landing on the streamer in May, with hopes of the final three seasons arriving in the future. In the show, McShane plays a morally questionable antiques dealer whose preternatural skills and knowledge often put him in the center of mysteries and capers.
McShane’s Lovejoy is known in the antique world as a divvy, someone who has an unparalleled ability to spot exceptional items amidst heaps of priceless bobbles. This makes him especially adept at spotting fakes and forgeries as well.
In addition to the legendary McShane, the series also stars Chris Jury, Dudley Sutton, Phyllis Logan, Malcolm Tierney, Diane Parish, and Caroline Langrishe during its six-season run from 1986 through 1994.
