Top 5 Titles Coming to Netflix in May 2024: ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 Part 1, ‘Blood of Zeus’ Season 2, More
New month, new selections from Netflix! This May, the streamer is setting the stage for tons of laughs with its annual Netflix is a Joke Fest, which kicks off in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 2. But if you’re too far from the City of Angels, follow John Mulaney as he heads out onto the street to welcome his funniest friends to the city in “John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s In LA,” a six-night live comedy event. Plus, Netflix will host the Mark Twain Prize Award for Kevin Hart, the Roast of Tom Brady, new specials from Rachel Feinstein, Franco Escamilla, and more.
On the scripted side, the wait is over, “Bridgerton” fans: the first part of Season 3 will drop in a batch during the middle of the month. And all month long, catch new series, film, documentary, anime, and family premieres.

“John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s In LA” | Friday, May 3–10
John Mulaney returns to Netflix, but instead of standing in the spotlight himself (or with The Sack Lunch Bunch in tow), he’s turning it onto everybody else in Los Angeles. The six-night live comedy series, which will debut as part of the Netflix Is A Joke Fest, will follow the comic as he explores L.A. “during a week when every funny person is in it,” complete with special guests, field pieces, and more. The first episode will stream live on Netflix on May 3, followed by additional episodes on May 6–10 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

“Blood of Zeus” Season 2 | Friday, May 10
The critically acclaimed fantasy/mythology animated series returns for its sophomore season with a batch of eight new episodes on May 10. Led in the voice cast by Derek Phillips, the series follows Heron, the demigod son of Zeus, on a mission to save both Olympus and Earth “despite the interference of a vengeful goddess and her monstrous forces.” Jason O’Mara, Claudia Christian, Elias Toufexis, Mamie Gummer, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jessica Henwick, Melina Kanakaredes, Matthew Mercer as Hermes, Adetokumboh M’Cormack, Adam Croasdell, Matt Lowe, Jennifer Hale, and more make up the rest of the voice cast.

“Bridgerton” Season 3, Part 1 Premiere | Thursday, May 16
Dear readers, “Bridgerton” is back. The first half of the long-awaited third season is set to premiere this month, with the second batch of four episodes arriving on June 13, and this season, everyone’s eyes are on Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), including once and future crush Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). The Season 3 cast will include new and returning members, including Claudia Jessie, Luke Thompson, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, Lorraine Ashbourne, Hannah Dodd, Simone Ashley, Jonathan Bailey, and more.

“Thelma the Unicorn” | Friday, May 17
What will one small-time pony pay for fame? Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes makes her acting debut as the title Thelma, who dreams of becoming a glamorous music star and, in a twist of fate, is transformed into a unicorn, instantly rising to superstardom. But the transformation comes with some terms and conditions. The voice cast of the new animated family feature also features Will Forte, Jemaine Clement, Edi Patterson, Fred Armisen, Zach Galifianakis, Jon Heder, Shondrella Avery, and more.

“A Part of You” | Friday, May 31
Fans of “Young Royals” rejoice as Edvin Ryding returns to Netflix opposite Felicia Maxime in the new Swedish coming-of-age drama. Directed by Sigge Eklund, “A Part of You” follows Maxime’s Agnes, whose older sister Julia (Zara Larsson) has everything Agnes wants: popularity, attention, and a pretty boy (Ryding). But when tragedy strikes, Agnes’ world is turned upside down and she’s forced to reinvent herself. The ensemble cast also features Ida Engvoll, Mustafa Al-Mashhadani, Alva Bratt, Emil Hedayat, Olivia Essén, Nikki Hanselblad, and Maxwell Cunningham, among others.
