Marvel Television’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ | Tuesday, March 4 (Disney+)
A lot has changed since “Daredevil’ premiered on Netflix 10 years ago. Matt Murdock and his fellow Defenders plus Punisher had all lost their shows on the streamer by early 2019, and by the end of the year, Disney had its own streaming service. There was a two-year, Leno-esque characters-legally-banned-from-being-in-a-non-Netflix-property period to follow, but Disney+ is obviously doing okay. The proof is in the pudding with “Daredevil: Born Again,” a hero’s welcome for both the character and his portrayer Charlie Cox. The 10-episode first season, which premiered its first two episodes on Tuesday, has already received consistent raves, and a second season is already in the works. A new episode will be available every Tuesday through April 15.
Daredevil: Born Again
Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
‘Lost Boys and Fairies’ | Tuesday, March 4 (BritBox)
There’s no doubt “Lost Boys and Fairies” creator Daf James is, first, a playwright. His deftness shines through “Lost Boys and Fairies,” the BBC miniseries that premiered last summer and is now making its North American premiere through BritBox. Siôn Daniel Young and Fra Fee lead the cast as performance artist extraordinaire Gabriel and his partner Andy, who are longing to adopt a child but not before they deal with past trauma. The three-episode series easily balances heartfelt, genuine moments, melodrama, and panache while keeping its focus on its characters and what they have to say (and how they’re said). If it wasn’t originally conceived for the stage, it should think of adoption. A few stage and screen greats from across the pond make up the ensemble, including Elizabeth Berrington, Sharon D. Clarke, Maria Doyle Kennedy, and William Thomas.
Lost Boys and Fairies
Gabriel and his partner Andy adopt a child. But Gabriel has a history and he will need to embark upon a journey of self-discovery and attempt to repair his relationship with his dad before he can truly begin to parent 7-year old Jake.
‘Deli Boys’ | Thursday, March 6 (Hulu)
Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh star in Hulu’s latest comedy about a pair of pampered Pakistani American brothers who lose everything once their convenience store-magnate father suddenly dies and must reconcile with his secret life of crime once they take up the mantle. The new series is part of Hulu’s partnership with Onyx Collective, which has previously collaborated on the excellent and gone-too-soon comedies “UnPrisoned,” “The Other Black Girl,” and “How to Die Alone”… hopefully, fourth time’s the charm for Hulu to take inventory and restock. Alfie Fuller, Brian George, and the always scene-stealing Poorna Jagannathan co-star. All 10 episodes will be available starting March 6.

‘When No One Sees Us’ | Friday, March 7 (Max)
Max gets a new passport stamp with “When No One Sees Us,” the streamer’s first Original scripted series from Spain. The crime thriller, based on the book of the same name by Sergio Sarria, unfolds during Holy Week 2024 and stars the iconic Maribel Verdú and Mariela Garriga as local Andalusian cop Lucía Gutierrez and Cuban-American U.S. military lieutenant Magaly Castillo, respectively, who must work together to uncover the truth behind two mysterious cases. With strong character development, cultural commentary, and supernatural realism, the new series should especially appeal to fans of HBO’s own “True Detective” (especially the Emmy-winning “Night Country”). A new episode will drop every Friday through April 25 at 3 a.m. ET.
When No One Sees Us
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Spanish Holy Week celebrations, two policewomen try to solve a series of crimes in the Andalusian town of Morón de la Frontera, in the political and cultural region of Seville’s so-called ‘deep Spain’, which is home to one of the biggest international U.S. military bases.
‘The Righteous Gemstones’ Season 4 premiere | Sunday, March 9 (Max)
Is there any better time for a family of gilded faux-religious cons and deviants to return to the air? Thank god “The Righteous Gemstones” is so good. Bittersweetly, it’s the show’s final season, wrapping up its acclaimed four-season run, but all the big guns are stopping by to say goodbye, including Danny McBride, Adam Devine, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Cassidy Freeman, Tim Baltz, Walton Goggins, and more, plus Megan Mullally, Jennifer Nettles, and more guests. New episodes will be available at 10 p.m. ET on both HBO and Max on Sundays. Praise be.

‘Dark Winds’ Season 3 premiere | Sunday, March 9 (AMC+)
Through its first two seasons, “Dark Winds” may be the best prestige drama you’re not watching. The series, which stars Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, and Jessica Matten and follows three members of the Navajo Tribal Police as they solve increasingly violent crimes and mysteries on their reservation, holds a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. Credit where credit is due, which goes across the board, from the series’ focused storytelling to its excellent performances (especially McClarnon) to its overall atmosphere. The expanded, eight-episode, third season premieres at 9 p.m. ET on AMC, BBC America, and SundanceTV, in addition to streaming on AMC+, and Season 4 is already on its way, coming next year.
Watch the trailer for ‘Dark Winds’ Season 3:
Dark Winds
This psychological thriller follows two Navajo police officers, Leaphorn and Chee, in the 1970s Southwest as their search for clues in a grisly double murder case forces them to challenge their own spiritual beliefs and come to terms with the trauma of their pasts.
‘Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party’ (Extended) | Tuesday, March 11 (Paramount+)
Get backstage access to one of the greats through the newly remastered “Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party,” the classic 1980s doc that captured Petty and the band as they finish, promote, and tour around their “Long After Dark” album. From the brain of Cameron Crowe, the film was once deemed too weird for TV—MTV pulled it after its initial 1983 airing for being too experimental—but last year, the long-thought-lost 16mm reels were found and something that was between two worlds is available again in all its glory. The extended edition also features 19 minutes of fully remastered archival bonus footage and new commentary from director Cameron Crowe, giving an even fuller glimpse into Petty’s genius.
Heartbreakers Beach Party
Documentary that captures Tom Petty and the band in 1982-1983 as they finish, promote, and tour around the “Long After Dark” album (their final with legendary producer Jimmy Iovine). It aired only once on MTV in 1983. After the long lost 16mm reels were finally found, a restored version with 19 minutes of extra footage was released in 2024.
‘Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney’ premiere | Wednesday, March 12 (Netflix)
While every relatively funny white man either has a podcast or a talk show, it’s hard to argue against John Mulaney joining the group. The writer and standup may be Netflix’s greatest ambassador at this point, their many-year partnership including three standup specials, his and Nick Kroll’s Broadway two-hander “Oh, Hello,” the children’s variety special “John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch,” and his “Everybody’s Live” trial run, the six-part “John Mulaney Presents: Everybody's in L.A.” for the Netflix is a Joke Festival. The new show (and Netflix’s latest sprint into live programming) will air live weekly on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET.

‘Control Freak’ | Thursday, March 13 (Hulu)
Daring to be a woman of color in a “Star Wars” movie, Kelly Marie Tran has experienced her (un)fair share of parasitic horror. Still, her latest role, Hulu’s new horror film, “Control Freak,” should give her a chance to stretch new muscles. Tran plays a motivational speaker tormented by an unrelenting itch on the back of her head, which turns out to be a demonic parasite that forces her life to spiral into chaos. Shal Ngo writes and directs with Miles Robbins, Toan Le, and Kieu Chinh making up the supporting cast of the psychological thriller.

‘The Wheel of Time’ Season 3 premiere | Thursday, March 13 (Prime Video)
Prime Video’s high-fantasy series based on Robert Jordan’s fantasy book series had a rocky start with its first season but in its sophomore entry finally began finding the momentum its fans had been looking for and enough to keep the big “Wheel” turning for a third season, which skips a book ahead to adapt Jordan’s fourth entry, “The Shadow Rising.” Rosamund Pike returns to lead the ensemble cast of Natasha O’Keeffe, Josha Stradowski, Daniel Henney, Zoë Robins, and more, with Isabella Bucceri, Nukâka Coster-Waldau, and Salóme Gunnarsdóttir, among the new season’s additions.
The Wheel of Time
The lives of five young villagers change forever when a strange and powerful woman arrives, claiming one of them is the child of an ancient prophecy with the power to tip the balance between Light and Dark forever. They must choose whether to trust this stranger – and each other – with the fate of the world before the Dark One breaks out of His prison, and the Last Battle begins.
‘Adolescence’ | Thursday, March 13 (Netflix)
“Boyhood” may have been shot on and off over 12 years, but “Adolescence” is mostly keeping the camera rolling. The new British crime drama series, which follows Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper), a 13-year-old boy who gets arrested as a suspect for the murder of his classmate, sees each of its four episodes shot in one continuous take as the story unfolds in real-time. Stephen Graham, one of this timeline’s best and most underrated actors, finds his way into another crime series— this time not just as co-star Eddie, Jamie’s father, but also as co-creator and writer with Jack Thorne (“Enola Holmes,” “His Dark Materials”).
Watch the trailer for ‘Adolescence’:
Adolescence
When a 13-year-old is accused of the murder of a classmate, his family, the psychological expert and the detective in charge are all left asking: what really happened?
‘Dope Thief’ premiere | Friday, March 14 (Apple TV+)
Dennis Tafoya’s novel of the same name gets an adaptation (and allegedly, a major update). “Dope Thief” follows two lifelong friends who pose as DEA agents to rob a house, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise as it turns out they have robbed a secret major narcotics operation. Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura lead the cast with Marin Ireland, Kate Mulgrew, Amir Arison, Ving Rhames, Dustin Nguyen, and more. Creator Peter Craig (“Top Gun: Maverick,” “The Town”) has reportedly made at least one big change to the plot for the adaptation, so whether you’re already familiar with the story or coming at it for the first time, there will be plenty of surprises.
Dope Thief
Two lifelong friends in Philadelphia pose as DEA agents to rob small-time drug dealers. It’s a perfect grift—until they choose the wrong mark and become targets of a massive narcotics enterprise.

‘Ludwig’ | Thursday, March 20 (BritBox)
David Mitchell’s cryptic, clever comedy styling gets a fitting showcase with BBC’s latest comedy “Ludwig,” making its North American premiere as it gears up for a second season. Mitchell plays John, a recluse and puzzlemaker under the alias Ludwig whose twin brother James, a successful detective chief inspector in Cambridge, has gone missing. Convinced by James’s wife Lucy (Anna Maxwell Martin) and pretending to be his brother, John goes even further undercover to infiltrate the local station and investigate, but his puzzle-wired brain gets put to work trying to solve not just his brother’s disappearance but other cases on the docket. Mitchell’s performance is not far away from if Mark from “Peep Show” joined the police force, which if you, too, are still mourning the show’s loss 10 years later, should be all you need.
Ludwig
John Taylor lives in quiet solitude, designing puzzles for a living, under the nom-de-plume of ‘Ludwig’. When his identical twin, James, disappears off the face of the earth, John takes over his brother’s identity in a quest to discover his whereabouts.
‘The Residence’ | Thursday, March 20 (Netflix)
“Orange Is the New Black” star and Emmy/SAG winner Uzo Aduba heads back to work at Netflix, but this time, she’s working with Shondaland on a series about scandals in the White House… not that one. The murder mystery drama sees Aduba take the case as excellent but eccentric detective Cordelia Cupp, who must investigate a murder that occurred during a state dinner and question the 157 personnel in the residence’s upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs quarters. Randall Park co-stars with an ensemble cast including Giancarlo Esposito, Susan Kelechi Watson, Jason Lee, Ken Marino, Molly Griggs, and 150-plus more suspects.
The Residence
A brilliant, eccentric detective must solve a murder in the White House residence — where the staff and guests at a state dinner are all suspects.
‘Sing Sing’ | Friday, March 21 (Max)
“Sing Sing” was shut out of any Oscar wins at this year’s ceremony, including Best Actor for Colman Domingo and Best Song for Abraham Alexander and Adrian Quesada’s “Like a Bird.” But had it not been for those meddling kids (“Anora”’s Mikey Madison and Mark Eydelshteyn), “Sing Sing” could’ve been a shoo-in for Best Adapted Screenplay, co-written by Clarence “Divine Eye” Maclin. Maclin, formerly incarcerated, co-stars as himself in the drama, which follows a group of inmates at Sing Sing Correctional Facility who participate in a small theater group under the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program. His compassion and empathy for what is so close to him bleeds through every moment, both on the page and on the screen, where he is the film’s beating heart. It is the year’s best ensemble work, a masterclass in performance, and a reminder to cling to your humanity.
Sing Sing
Divine G, imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men in this story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art.
‘Wicked’ and sing-along version | Friday, March 21 (Peacock)
Good news, Ozians! Fresh off its two Oscar wins (and hopefully many more in next year’s race for November’s forthcoming “Wicked: For Good”), the acclaimed blockbuster movie musical led by the inimitable powerhouses Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo comes to streaming. Choose your own curriculum at Shiz: either go for the theatrical version, or turn your home into an Equity principal audition room with the sing-along version, which will also be available to stream on the 21st.
Wicked
In the land of Oz, ostracized and misunderstood green-skinned Elphaba is forced to share a room with the popular aristocrat Glinda at Shiz University, and the two’s unlikely friendship is tested as they begin to fulfill their respective destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
‘The Studio’ premiere | Wednesday, March 26 (Apple TV+)
The industry comedy series “The Studio” marks the first live-action series Rogan has created since the four-season supernatural series “Preacher,” but this time, the actor-writer-director is wearing all the hats, co-writing and helming several episodes in addition to his starring duties opposite an intimidating ensemble of Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. They’re not the only famous faces you’ll recognize: the series features a long list of actors and creatives who will play themselves in the series, including Apple TV+ fixture Adam Scott to Martin Scorsese. The first two episodes will be available on March 26, followed by a new episode every Wednesday through May 21.
Watch the trailer for ‘The Studio’:
The Studio
Desperate for celebrity approval, the newly appointed head of a movie studio and his executive team at Continental Studios must juggle corporate demands with creative ambitions as they try to keep movies alive and relevant.
‘Bosch: Legacy’ Season 3 premiere | Thursday, March 27 (Prime Video)
Harry Bosch says goodbye. The acclaimed police procedural wraps after three seasons, following its parent series’ seven-season arc, much to the surprise/frustration of its cast and creators, who reportedly found out in post-production the show would not get a fourth season. So, if it seems like there are some cases left to crack, don’t be too surprised. Titus Welliver is back to end a second series as the titular Bosch before the investigator’s forced retirement, whether fans are ready or not.
Bosch: Legacy
Bosch is now making a living as a private investigator two years after he quit the LAPD and finds himself working with one time enemy and top-notch attorney Honey “Money” Chandler. Meanwhile, Bosch’s daughter Maddie is venturing into the world of the LAPD.
‘Survival of the Thickest’ Season 2 premiere | Thursday, March 27 (Netflix)
Michelle Buteau is back with more main-character energy. The Netflix adaptation of her memoir of the same name continues with even more love and chaos for its second season as Mavis continues to build her brand as a stylist from New York to Rome. Tasha Smith, Tone Bell, Tasha Smith, Marouane Zotti, Peppermint, Garcelle Beauvais, Anthony Michael Lopez, and Liza Treyger return for Season 2, with guest stars including Anderson .Paak, Deon Cole, Celisse, Rolonda Watts, Monét X Change, and more.
Survival of the Thickest
Black, plus-size and newly single, Mavis unexpectedly finds herself having to rebuild her life after putting all her eggs in one man’s basket, but she’s determined to not only survive but thrive with the support of her chosen family.
‘Mid-Century Modern’ | Friday, March 28 (Hulu)
Despite the success of “Abbott Elementary,” “Ghosts,” and a few others, sitcoms are still a gutsy move among the prestige drama TV options. On paper, though, Hulu’s “Mid-Century Modern,” which features the tried-and-true winning combo of a collection of gay men alongside Linda Lavin, feels correct. Described often as a gay “The Golden Girls” (or… “The Golden Girls”), the multi-camera comedy is a love letter to chosen family and follows three gay gentlemen of a certain age who, after an unexpected death, decide to spend their golden years living together in Palm Springs. Living greats Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, and Nathan Lee Graham lead the cast opposite the late great Lavin with guest stars including Vanessa Bayer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Esther Moon Wu, Cheri Oteri, and more.
Mid-Century Modern
Three best friends — gay gentlemen of a certain age – decide after an unexpected death to spend their golden years living together in Palm Springs where the wealthiest one lives with his mother. As a chosen family, they prove that no matter how hard things get, there’s always someone around to remind you it would be better if you got your neck done.
