Victory+ talking with teams at risk of leaving FanDuel channels

Victory+ talking with teams at risk of leaving FanDuel channels

Main Street Sports Group may not be long for this world, and if it folds Victory+ is ready to step into the local rights void it leaves behind.

Known for breaking major streaming stories, he’s covered everything from Netflix policy shifts to Peacock’s ad-tier changes. A sci-fi fan and Toshiba Fire TV user, he brings sharp analysis and a love for the genre to his reporting.
Victory+ is in contact with clubs that may depart Main Street Sports Group.

The demise of Main Street Sports Group could be a feeding frenzy for Victory+. Main Street has until the end of the week to either be acquired by DAZN, or essentially be forced to wind up its operations for good. If the latter happens, a total of 29 NBA, NHL, and MLB teams will have to find new local rights broadcast partners, but the streaming platform Victory+ is reportedly ready to step in to lend a hand.

Key Details:

  • Let’s talk: Victory+ has been in contact with teams from all three leagues whose time with Main Street could be running out.
  • Established record: The Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, and Texas Rangers all stream local games on Victory+.
  • Major victory: Adding more teams to its platform would be a big win for Victory+ as it prepares for NWSL streams.

Sports Business Journal reports that Victory+ has contacted multiple franchises from the MLB, NBA, and NHL whose local games are currently broadcast by Main Street Sports Group and its FanDuel Sports Network channels. Currently, Main Street distributes games from 29 teams across these three leagues, but it finds itself in financial trouble once again.

Main Street has already missed rights fee payments to its partner clubs and owes each of them a new check on Feb. 1. At this point, the company’s only hope is to be acquired by DAZN, which is still considering the purchase.

The nine MLB clubs that aired games on FanDuel Sports Network channels in 2025 have given Main Street an ultimatum: get financing lined up for the 2026 season, or lose them for good. The company has had similarly stern talks with its NBA and NHL partner teams, after asking them to accept lower rights fee payments for the remainder of the season, as well as deferral of those payments until later in the year.

Main Street could also be acquired by a mystery bidder waiting in the wings; reports have indicated that Fubo has engaged with the company about a possible merger, but there hasn’t been much evidence to indicate that talks have progressed far.

Victory+ has experience in helping distribute local broadcasts, partnering with the Anaheim Ducks and Dallas Stars from the NHL, as well as MLB’s Texas Rangers. The streamer can’t promise clubs the same level of revenue they pulled in from regional sports network partnerships, but it can provide more certainty than Main Street currently can, as well as impressive reach at the very least.

VICTORY+

VICTORY+ was a video streaming service that featured live coverage of various sports teams and leagues, including the NSWL, MLB, NHL, and high school sports. The service also included Red Bull sports, Dude Perfect content, and fishing programs.

As of September 2, 2026, the service was officially shut down after losing the Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, Anaheim Ducks, and NWSL.
