‘You Can See Everything,’ but when will you see it stream?

The Nathan Fielder documentary exploring Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is getting rave reviews. When will it be available to stream at home?

Known for breaking major streaming stories, he’s covered everything from Netflix policy shifts to Peacock’s ad-tier changes. A sci-fi fan and Toshiba Fire TV user, he brings sharp analysis and a love for the genre to his reporting.
A still from You Can See Everything, and our prediction of when it will stream at home.

Critics and audiences alike are falling over themselves to praise the Elizabeth Holmes documentary “You Can See Everything,” which arrived in theaters on Friday, Oct. 16. The Nathan Fielder film has proven a hit in theaters, debuting in fewer than 1,000 screens but still managing to pull in $15 million in its first weekend of availability, against a budget of just $7 million. The movie will get a wide release this weekend, but, if you’re wondering when it will stream at home, you can learn our prediction below.

Key Details:

  • Go see it: “You Can See Everything” is getting almost universally rave reviews.
  • Ace in the hole: A24 is distributing the movie, so it will stream on HBO Max.
  • Tough call: “You Can See Everything” will stream on PVOD services quickly, but its HBO Max debut is tricky to peg.

“You Can See Everything” sees director Nathan Fielder and his film crew invited into the home of health technology executive Elizabeth Holmes a month before she’s set to begin serving a prison sentence for defrauding investors. But what starts as a deep dive into the idiosyncratic Holmes devolves into a mind-twisting journey you have to see to believe — at least according to reviews.

The movie is definitely for a specific audience, but that audience is beyond thrilled with the result. “You Can See Everything” has a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, paired with an audience score of 98%. The film has also scored a 99 on MetaCritic, denoting “Universal Acclaim.”

When will ‘You Can See Everything’ stream at home?

Because it’s being distributed by A24, “You Can See Everything” will stream on HBO Max when the studio decides it’s time. The studio renewed its Pay-1 deal with Warner Bros. Discovery earlier this year, and the deal will continue to bring quality engagement to HBO Max as the streamer comes under the ownership of Skydance.

But it may take a few months for that to happen with “You Can See Everything.” It seems likely that the movie will follow a path similar to “The Invite,” the comedic drama film from A24 that will premiere on HBO Max on Oct. 23 — 105 days after its initial theatrical release. Similar to “You Can See Everything,” “The Invite” was given a limited release before a wider debut two weeks later.

Using that film’s release schedule as a model, I’ll predict “You Can See Everything” will stream on HBO Max on Friday, Jan. 29. Given the movie’s near 3-hour runtime, curious fans can be forgiven for wanting to wait for it to become available at home.
