All the ways you can sign up for HBO Max
Directly
Of course, you can always go to the HBO Max website and get a subscription directly from the streamer. HBO Max’s website offers both monthly and annual plans of all three service tiers, including the ad plan for $11 per month, the ad-free tier for $18.49, and the Premium plan for $23. Going this route will mean you’ll stream the service through the HBO Max app.
Bundled with Disney streamers
Viewers can also bundle HBO Max with Disney+ and Hulu if they want even more entertainment, and with a substantial discount off what you’d pay to get the three streamers separately. You can combine Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max with ads for a grand total of $20 per month.
You can also upgrade to an ad-free version of this bundle for $33 per month. You can get this bundle either from the HBO Max website or through the Disney+ website if you prefer to go that route.
Free from DIRECTV
There are several methods of getting HBO Max for free with DIRECTV — some more permanent than others. Customers who sign up for DIRECTV Signature channel plans can opt for three months of HBO Max for free if they prefer, after which the streamer will renew automatically at the current price.
You can also get HBO Max with ads at no cost for as long as you have a subscription with DIRECTV’s MyEntertainment Genre Pack. This package doesn’t include any cable sports or news channels, but has 40+ entertainment networks for $35 per month, in addition to free Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions.
