Give thanks all day long with these holiday hits!
Give thanks all day long with these holiday hits!
“Yeah, to you it’s Thanksgiving; to me it’s Thursday.”
If you’re looking for ways to occupy yourself today after the parade is over (and football isn’t your thing), don’t sweat it! I’ve rounded up the best Thanksgiving-themed movies to entertain you all day, before and after the kids go to bed. So after you’ve sufficiently filled up on overdone turkey, dry dinner rolls, and extra helpings of green bean casserole, nestle up on the couch with some of these Thanksgiving holiday favorites.
Our favorite Thanksgiving movies
Our all-time favorite, and probably the most recognizable, is the 1987 classic “Plains, Trains and Automobiles” starring Steve Martin and John Candy. We also are partial to 1995’s “Home for the Holidays” and 1992’s “Scent of a Woman”, which are both high on our list.
Of course, you can’t sleep on the mantra that if “Die Hard” is a Christmas movie, then “Rocky” is a Thanksgiving movie.
If you need something that the whole family can enjoy, we would recommend the animated classic “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and the family favorite sequel “Addams Family Values”.
