When will you be able to stream Ke Huy Quan in ‘Love Hurts’?

Quan stars in the movie as Marvin, a seemingly unassuming real estate agent who is in fact a deadly assassin.

Known for breaking major streaming stories, he’s covered everything from Netflix policy shifts to Peacock’s ad-tier changes. A sci-fi fan and Toshiba Fire TV user, he brings sharp analysis and a love for the genre to his reporting.
Ke Huy Quan stars in the new movie Love Hurts which will eventually stream on peacock

Looking for a Valentine’s Day-themed movie with a little extra action? Then “Love Hurts” is the perfect flick for you. The film arrives in theaters officially on Friday, Feb. 7, but it’s not available to stream just yet. We’ll let you know when we think you’ll be able to watch “Love Hurts” while snuggled up with your partner on the couch here!

Key Details:

  • Fans are calling “Love Hurts” fun, cute, and the perfect Valentine’s Day movie.
  • As a Universal film, “Love Hurts” will be streaming on Peacock.
  • A shorter release window for the movie before hitting streaming seems likely.

“Love Hurts” stars Ke Huy Quan as Marvin, a real estate agent who seems to have everything going for him. But Marvin has a secret: he’s actually a highly-trained hitman. He had to give up life as an assassin after refusing to take out a woman who stole from his bosses because of his love for her, but when she resurfaces, he must return to his old ways once again.

The movie isn’t exactly burning up the Tomatometer, as it has received a 22% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. But audience reviews are kinder, saying the movie is an adorably fun romp that’s perfect for couples looking for a film with romance, action, and plenty of heart this Valentine’s Day.

When can you stream ‘Love Hurts’ on Peacock?

“Love Hurts” is being distributed by Universal Pictures, which always sends its new movies to Peacock once they’re done in theaters. That streamer has ad-supported subscriptions available starting at $8 per month, or ad-free plans for $14 per month.

I get the feeling that “Love Hurts” won’t be tarrying in theaters for too long. It calls to mind other Universal movies like “Drive-Away Dolls,” “Cocaine Bear,” “Violent Night” and “M3GAN,” all of which took just 49 days to reach Peacock after hitting theaters.

I’ll stick with that as my official prediction, and say “Love Hurts” will head to Peacock on Friday, March 28. That’s 49 days from its theatrical release, and would fall right in line with other Universal movies that didn’t light up the box office, but are popular with streaming audiences.
