Peacock hikes prices for fourth straight year, this time by $3
Following its first quarter of reported profitability, Peacock is doubling down on bringing in more revenue.
NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock wants to keep the good times rolling. The streamer finally hit profitability for the first time in the second quarter of this year and apparently wants to make sure it achieves that goal with more regularity. Peacock is raising prices for all new subscribers by as much as $3 per month, with existing customers seeing the increase reflected on their next monthly bill.

Peacock will now charge $9 per month instead of $8 for its Select plan, which has a limited number of shows from the Peacock library and no live sports access. The Premium plan, which still has ads but includes the full Peacock catalog and all live sports on the streamer, is increasing from $11 to $13 per month. And finally, the ad-free Premium Plus tier has jumped from $17 to $20 per month.
Corresponding annual subscriptions to these plans are also rising in price. New customers will see the changes in effect now, while existing Peacock subscribers will be charged the new price on their next monthly bill.

Hiking subscription rates has become a grim annual tradition for Peacock. This is the fourth year in a row the service has opted to increase its rates. Last year, the streamer increased prices by nearly 40% on some plans, but it launched Peacock Select as a way to lure curious customers who didn’t want to pay for the full experience just yet.
With the 2026 NFL season coming up, Peacock stands to gain subscribers despite the price increase. The streamer will host all “Sunday Night Football” games once again this season, as well as an exclusive game in January. Notre Dame and Big Ten football games are also just around the corner for Peacock, and in October, the NBA starts up on the streamer again.
