The 2026 NBA Playoffs are about to begin! The So-Fi Play-In Tournament will be held from April 14 through 17, and from there it’s a race to the NBA Finals. Watching the NBA postseason will be a bit different this year as compared to years past, as TNT Sports is no longer an NBA broadcast partner.

This season, NBA playoff games will be shown on ABC, ESPN, NBC/Peacock, and Prime Video. If you’ve got a DIRECTV MySports subscription, you may be afraid that this will prevent you from watching 100% of games with your service. We’ll help you cut through the confusion below!

Everything you need to know about watching the 2026 NBA Playoffs with DIRECTV MySports

Which NBA Playoff games will be shown on DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack?

DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack includes ABC and NBC in nearly 100% of American TV markets, and offers ESPN everywhere. Any NBA playoff games appearing on these linear channels will be available to watch with a MySports subscription. Fans can even choose to watch any games appearing on ABC or ESPN through ESPN Unlimited, which comes free with a MySports subscription.

Can DIRECTV MySports customers watch any NBA Playoff games appearing on Prime Video?

Prime Video is the exclusive home of the So-Fi Play-In Tournament that determines the final NBA playoff seeds. If you do not live in the home market of one of the participating teams, you will not be able to watch any of these games with your DIRECTV MySports subscription; they are exclusive to Prime Video for national audiences.

However, NBA games on Prime Video work a lot like NFL games shown on the streamer; they appear on traditional TV in the markets of the teams playing. So, if your local NBA team participates in the Play-In, and if their local broadcast appears on an ABC or NBC affiliate in your area, you will be able to watch with DIRECTV MySports.

Can DIRECTV MySports customers watch any NBA Playoff games appearing on Peacock?

Similar to Prime Video, any NBA Playoff games appearing exclusively on Peacock will also be shown on linear channels in the markets of the two teams playing. Check your team’s local listings for more details, but there’s a good chance those games will be available to stream with a DIRECTV MySports account.

What is DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack?
