When will ‘Disclosure Day’ be available to stream at home?
We’ll give our educated prediction on when Steven Spielberg’s latest film will stream on Peacock.
What do they know that they’re not telling us? The biggest secret in world history will be revealed in “Disclosure Day,” the newest Steven Spielberg movie that some are calling his best ever. The film officially debuts in theaters on Friday, June 12, but when will you be able to watch it at home via streaming? We’ll give our thoughts below.
Key Details:
- No surprises there: “Disclosure Day” is receiving strong reviews from critics and preview audiences.
- New universe: As a Universal title, ‘Disclosure Day’ will stream on Peacock.
- Could be a while: The film will likely stay in theaters for more than 100 days.
“Disclosure Day” shows viewers how the discovery that we aren’t alone in the universe could shape the planet. As the truth is revealed to eight billion people at once, the film unfolds as an unyielding pursuit of optimism in the age of conspiracy and fake news.
Critics are hailing the movie as another triumph for Spielberg, and have special praise for the film’s star, Emily Blunt. “Disclosure Day” has an 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 75% from audiences who have seen a preview screening. The film has a 75 score on Metacritic, indicating “Generally Favorable” reviews.

When will you be able to stream ‘Disclosure Day’ at home?
We know for a certainty where “Disclosure Day” will stream once it’s no longer exclusive to theaters and premium video-on-demand services that allow customers to rent films that are still in cinemas. Since the movie is distributed by Universal, it will stream on Peacock for an exclusive four-month run before shifting to Prime Video.
How long will that take? Universal has been known to keep movies with award potential in cinemas for longer than other movies. In 2023, the studio’s eventual Oscar-winning film “Oppenheimer” took over 200 days to reach Peacock, and while I don’t think “Disclosure Day” will take quite that long, I predict a lengthy theatrical window for the film nonetheless.
With that in mind, I’ll predict that “Disclosure Day” will arrive on Peacock on Friday, Oct. 9 — 119 days from its initial release. If that prediction proves accurate, the movie will become available to stream on Prime Video sometime in February 2027.
