Disney+ launches ‘Simpsons’ channel that shows episodes in order
The new streaming channel will show episodes from the long-running show chronologically.
Disney+ has been offering live streaming channels for over a year now. The streamer’s ad-free Premium subscribers can enjoy around-the-clock streaming channels dedicated to mixes of the most popular programming on the service. On Wednesday, Disney+ switched things up with its live “The Simpsons” streaming channel, announcing that episodes would be presented in chronological order.
Key Details:
- Start to finish: Disney+’s “Simpsons” channel will offer episodes from all 35 seasons shown in order.
- Switch it up: Disney first launched a streaming channel for the show in April.
- Premium only: Ad-free customers are the only ones who can use Disney+ streaming channels.

“The Simpsons” channel will now stream episodes from the show’s 35-season history in chronological order on Disney+. Viewers can turn on the stream, sit back, and watch the iconic animated sitcom from start to finish, then go back to the start again when it runs out of Season 35 episodes.
Disney first announced the “Simpsons” stream would begin showing episodes chronologically on Wednesday. But the streamer has been offering a channel dedicated to the first family of Springfield for some time; Disney+ first announced it was launching a continuous playlist dedicated to “The Simpsons” in April.
The only episodes that won’t be part of the “Simpsons” stream on Disney+ are ones from the show’s 36th season, which is airing now. Those episodes are broadcast on Fox, then stream on Hulu the day after they air live. Hulu gets next-day streaming rights to in-season primetime shows from Fox until 2029, thanks to a licensing deal that was extended last year.
As with other live streams of Disney+ content, viewers can only watch the “Simpsons” channel with a subscription to the Disney+ Premium plan. This plan costs $19 per month or $190 per year, or viewers can get it within various permutations of the Disney Bundle with Hulu, ESPN, or HBO Max.
