Short answer: No, Peacock does not offer a free trial currently. However, with plans starting at $8 per month it’s still one of the best bargains in streaming.

“If it’s free, it’s for me” or so the old cliche goes. Streaming free trials are a great way to get to know a platform’s library, but customers are likely pretty familiar with Peacock‘s catalog already. The NBCUniversal streaming service is home to old favorites from primetime NBC like “The Office,” “Community,” “Scrubs,” and many more, as well as originals like “Five Nights at Freddy’s” and “Those About to Die,” and Universal movies spanning the spectrum from “Monkey Man” to “Kung Fu Panda 4.”

Peacock doesn’t offer a free trial currently, but it is one of the best bargains in streaming, with prices starting at just $7.99 per month. The streamer also doesn’t make customers pay extra to access its live sports, which are a huge part of its platform and will only grow more numerous in the coming years.

Peacock Plans: How much does Peacock cost?

Peacock's library is packed with familiar titles and plenty of new arrivals.

Peacock offers two main plans: an ad-supported tier called Peacock Premium, which costs $8 per month, or its ad-free Premium Plus plan, which runs $13.99 per month. The streamer also offers annual plans of both tiers, and these allow viewers to pay for only 10 months of service instead of 12 at the prevailing rate.

Service Monthly Price Annual Price
Peacock Premium (Ad-Supported) $8 $80
Peacock Premium Plus (Ad-Free) $14 $140

For Xfinity TV and internet customers, Peacock is also available in the StreamSaver bundle. This combines ad-supported Peacock and Netflix with ad-free Apple TV+ for $15 per month, creating one of the best values on the marketplace for eligible subscribers.

At $7.99 per month for ad-supported streaming, Peacock is one of the cheapest services there is. Only Netflix offers a cheaper ad-supported subscription, and it doesn’t come close to offering the amount of live sports available on Peacock. Every single event of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris is streaming on Peacock, and that’s just the beginning.

The service will offer an exclusive NFL game to kick off the season in September 2024, and will continue to livestream “Sunday Night Football” each week of the regular season. Peacock also carries Big East basketball, Big Ten football and basketball, Notre Dame football, English Premier League soccer, tennis, golf, auto racing, cycling and more. Oh, and before I forget, starting in 2025 Peacock will welcome a big selection of NBA regular season and playoff games, including exclusive contests. The best part, as mentioned above, is that subscribers don’t have to pay a dime extra to watch this entire sports lineup on Peacock.
