Will you lose access to Pandora Premium immediately if you cancel?
No, you will still be able to use your Pandora Premium subscription until the end of your current billing cycle when you cancel. You’ve already paid for it, so until the cycle ends, Pandora Premium access is yours. Once the date of your next billing cycle arrives, however, you will no longer be able to use Pandora’s Premium features.
Does Pandora have a free tier you can downgrade to instead of cancelling?
Absolutely. If you want to cancel your Pandora Premium subscription, you can always downgrade to the service’s free tier. That will mean you have to listen with ads, and you won’t be able to skip as many songs, but you’ll still be able to use Pandora’s platform to generate personalized radio stations and much more with a free account.
Which music streamers should you use to replace Pandora Premium?
SiriusXM
If the radio experience is what turned you onto Pandora in the first place, SiriusXM is a great option for replacing it. For $12 per month, you can sign up for SiriusXM’s All Music plan, with professionally curated radio stations featuring live hosts, exclusive artist channels, and more. Listeners can also upgrade their SiriusXM plan to include news, lifestyle, and sports programming, and its satellite radio coverage can reach even the most remote corners of the United States.
Deezer
Deezer is another strong choice for fans of the personalized radio mix type of listening that Pandora offers. It has a strong recommendation algorithm, and even features lossless audio with supported plans. A Deezer subscription costs $12 per month, but listeners can also choose the service’s Duo plan for $16 per month or its Family plan for $20 if they live in a house with multiple listeners.
